All your questions
Can I choose my instructor?
We match you to a vetted instructor for your discipline and area — and if it's not the right fit, tell us and we'll switch you.
Where do lessons take place?
At a trusted lesson barn near you, or your instructor comes to the barn where your horse is boarded — whichever suits you.
Do I need my own horse?
No. Tell us you need a lesson horse and we'll match you with an instructor who has suitable ones. Have your own? We'll come to your barn.
Are instructors vetted?
Yes. Every instructor passes a criminal background check and carries liability insurance before they can teach.
What disciplines do you cover?
Hunter/jumper, dressage, eventing, western, and more. We match you by discipline, not just distance.
What areas do you serve?
We're live in Ocala now and rolling out across the top U.S. horse-country markets — Wellington, Lexington, Aiken, Tryon, and beyond.
How much do lessons cost?
Private lessons are billed by package and prices vary by market. You'll see the exact price before you pay.
Do you offer packages?
Yes — single lessons plus 6- and 12-lesson packages at a better per-lesson rate.
Is there a booking fee?
A one-time booking fee applies to your very first booking, and it's shown up front before you're charged. After that it's done — when you log back in and book more lessons from your account, you're never charged the booking fee again.
When am I charged?
Only after we've matched you and you've approved the instructor and schedule. No surprise charges.
Do you offer payment plans?
Payment plans are available on request for multi-lesson packages — just ask.
What if I don't like my instructor?
Let us know and we'll match you with someone else. The right fit matters.
What should I bring?
A properly fitted riding helmet and boots with a small heel; long pants. Your instructor will advise on anything else.
Do I need my own tack or equipment?
No — the barn or instructor provides tack for lessons. Just bring your helmet.
What certifications do instructors hold?
Many hold CHA, USHJA, USDF, USEA, or PATH credentials. All clear a criminal background check regardless.
Is riding safe?
Riding carries inherent risks. We require helmets, insured instructors, and signed waivers, and match you to your level to keep lessons as safe as possible.
Do you offer lessons for young children?
Yes — many instructors specialize in beginners and young riders on calm, suitable lesson horses.
How do I become an instructor?
Apply on our Become an Instructor page. We review your credentials, run the required checks, and onboard you onto the roster.
